In 2017 BIOFIN approached Cirklo to help them design a strategy to incentivize the use of investment funds for projects that fall within the definition of bioeconomy (all economic activities that make use of ecosystems).

CHALLENGE:
The main challenge was that the projects applicable for funding had to be kind to the biodiversity, trying to minimize the impact while at the same time being able to grow as a business.
APPROACH:
Discussion tables were created where guilds were formed and they themselves defined their priorities and different challenges as an industry. This dynamic aimed to jointly seek to achieve these goals with the help of these funds. This is how the Bioeconomy Collective was born.
